Following the Scottish Government’s announcement last week of financial support for businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic, Chair of the SCSTG Sarah Troughton has written to Cabinet Secretary for Finance Kate Forbes querying the exclusion of country sports businesses such as ‘deer forests’, ‘game larders’ and ‘shootings’ from the list of businesses qualifying for both the Small Business Support Grant and the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Support Grant.  She also requested the waiving of the requirement to pay Sporting Rates this financial year.  See the full letter here.
